We @ SHIKHAR VEDH has arranged a thrilling road trip to serene spiti – kinnaur valley.
 
Below are the details about the tour :- 

 
20 – 28 June 2026 (8 N / 9 Days) 

Total Cost for the tour will be 32500/- pp approx, which includes


  1. Accommodation in Hotels / Guest House / Camps (Triple Sharing ).

  2. Food which includes Breakfast and Dinner.  

(Note : Lunch will be en-route which will be on participants cost.)

3. Travel from Chandigadh to Chandigadh in Non A/c pvt vehicle

4. Entry fees wherever applicable, Monastery fees

Pick up : Chandigadh on Saturday 25 June 2022
Drop : Chandigad on Sunday 3 July 2022

Spiti’ Means a middle land i.e. Land between Ladakh & Tibet . A beautiful trip through the high mountains and deep valleys of Kinnaur (Sangla and Kalpa) to Spiti and ending back in Manali crossing the high pass of Rohtang and Kunzum. This trip is only possible from July onwards when the road between Kunzum and Rohtang opens.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Saturday

Chandigarh- Shimla- Kufri- Narkanda (180 kms / 7-8 hours)

Arrive Chandigarh before 11 am

Drive towards Narkhanda … En-route Lunch

Reach Narkhanda in the evening

Overnight @ Narkhanda

Day 2 : Sunday

Narkanda- Sarahan- Wangtoo- Sangla (160 kms/ 7-8 hrs)

Explore Narkhanda … Highest peak – Hatu peak & Temple

Move towards Sangla

En-route explore Sarahan village – famous for Bhimkali temple

Overnight @ Sangla

Day 3 : Monday

Sangla- Chitkul- Kalpa (100 kms/ 4 hrs)

Visit Kamru Fort in Sangla

Post B/F, head to explore Chitkul- last inhabited village on Indo-Tibet border.

After visting Sangla & Chitkul, further drive to Kalpa a beautiful place

Overnight @ Kalpa – Hotel / Guesthouse

Day 4 : Tuesday

Kalpa- Pooh- Khab- Nako- Sumdo- Tabo (170 kms / 9-10 hours)

Post B/f, move towards Nako, a famous for lake & Monastery

further drive to spiti valley – first village sumdo & then to Tabo

Overnight @ Tabo

Day 5 : Wednesday

Tabo- Dhankar- Kungri – Pin Valley (70 kms / 4 hours)

  • “Ajanta of Himalayas”- The Tabo Monastery which is close to 1000 years old now.
  • Dhankar Monastery- Seat of the King in ancient times- the most beautiful setting of a monument which hangs on a cliff and overlooks the confluence of Spiti and Pin River.
  • Kungri monastery – the last hold of Buchen Lamas in Sangam.

Overnight @ Pin Valley

Day 6 : Thursday

Pin Valley- Demul - Hikkim- Komic- Langza- Kaza   (80 kms / 4 hours)

  • Langza – the main area for Fossils.
  • Hikkim – the highest post office in the world.
  • Komik – one of the highest villages in the world at 4600 meters
Overnight @ Kaza
 

Day 7 : Friday

Kaza- Kye- Khibber- Kunzum Pass – Chandratal Lake  (100 kms / 4 hours)

  • Kye monastery – is on top of a mountain overlooking the Spiti valley and a huge river bed.
  • Kibber Village – which was once the highest motorable village in the world.
Overnight @ Chandratal
 

Day 8 : Saturday

Chandratal- Batal- Chatru- Gramphoo- Rohtang- Manali (120 kms / 7 hrs)

  • Chandra Tal- The lake of the moon.
  • Losar – the last village of Spiti valley.
  • Leave spiti valley early morning and enter to Lahual valleyReach Manali via famous Rohatang Pass

Overnight @ Manali

Day 9 : Sunday

Manali- Kullu- Mandi- Chandigarh (290 kms / 10 hours).

Leave early in the morning to catch your evening flight/train/bus from Chandigarh back to your hometown. Trip ends here

Information about the places ::

Adalaj Vav : Built in 1499 by Queen Rudabai, wife of the Vaghela chief, Veersinh, this five-storey stepwell was not just a cultural and utilitarian space, but also a spiritual refuge. It is believed that villagers would come everyday in the morning to fill water, offer prayers to the deities carved into the walls and interact with each other in the cool shade of the vav.

Rani Ki Vav: Exceptional example of a distinctive form of subterranean water architecture of the Indian subcontinent, the stepwell, which is located on the banks of the Saraswati River in Patan. Initially built as a memorial in the 11th century CE, the stepwell was constructed as a religious as well as functional structure and designed as an inverted temple highlighting the sanctity of water.

Modhera Sun Temple: In 1026, the temple was built by King Bhimdev of the Solanki dynasty (believed to be the descendants of the lineage of Sun God).The temple encompasses three different yet axially-aligned and integrated constituents.

Welcome to our secret campsite high fives, Start with water sports activities which includes Learning Kayaking, River Raft Boating or just relax by swimming and body surfing life jackets will be given to all. Swimmers and Non Swimmers can enjoy water sports at Igatpuri Secret Camping and all ages can participate. Life Jackets are compulsory for Swimmers and non Swimmers for all water sports activities. Our campsite is well hidden inside a beautiful jungle for sure you will have trouble finding it we have kept it that way. Igatpuri Lakeside camping is a beautiful spot for landscape photography. Your tents will be lake facing as the sunsets you can enjoy tea and evening snacks. Our guest are always welcomed early to maximize time spent at Igatpuri camping site and enjoy water sports to the fullest. Igatpuri Campsite is amazing for Astro – photography, Star Trails Photography, Igatpuri Stargazing it has very less night light pollution located in one of the darkest spot in Maharashtra. You can join for Night Trek shoes compulsory after you enjoy Dinner local food.Wake up to the sounds of birds and enjoy birding your tents will be facing sunrise and the beautiful Secret Camping Lake. Indian toilets are available on campsite and parking. After your morning breakfast you can click more selfies and groupies.
