Some basic information about the trek is as follows:
Fort: Chandragad / Arthur Seat
Height: 3500/4396 fts resp.
Range: Range Trek
Level : Medium but endurance level extremely high
Base Villae: Dhawale
Chandragad: The fort was constructed by Chandrarao More of Javli and it was named after him as ‘Chandragad’. It was taken over by Chatrapati ShivajiMaharaj in the 17th century. The fort was used mainly to keep close watch on the ‘Dhawalya Ghat’ route. 7-8 kms from Dhawale village is Umarath which is birth place of Shri Tanaji Malusare also known as Simha (“lion”), a great worrier in the army of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Authur’s Seat is 4396 fts high. The queen of all points, Arthur’s point got its name after Arthur Mallet as he was the first man to come here and build a house. Arthur seat is also known as “Suicide Point @ Mahabaleshwar”.

Explore the fort for 40 mins

09:15 Hrs : Descend & Move to Bahirichi Ghumti
15:00 Hrs : @ Bahirichi Ghumti

Refreshment Break
Start return journey back 2 Mumbai by private vehicle

The Estimated expenditure of the trek is Rs 1500/- per head, which includes Travel expenditure from Dadar 2 Dadar by private vehicle, 2 Refreshments , Guide Contribution & Shikhar Vedh charges

A bottle of water (At least 3 Ltrs – must),

Medicine those if u require usually (Optional)
Good trekking shoes preferably ACTION, extra pair of socks
A haversack to put in all the things to be carried….so that one has ones hands free while trekking.
