After successful treks in last months to keep momentum going … शिखर वेध have planned yet another one day early morning trek to Bhimashankar via Laddar Route – A Thrilling trek on Sunday 31st July 2011 …

Brief Introduction about Bhimashankar:-
Height: 3296 feet
Grade: Thrilling
Time: ~ Maximum 4 hrs from Khandas, Base Village
Location: Nagar District
There is a beautiful temple of Lord Shiva which is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. Lord Shankara after getting angry killed Rakshas Tripurasura. The heat generated from their war caused the origin of river Bhima. That is why it is called Bhimashankar. A rare animal “Shekru” can be found in deep wood. Other details @ Bhimashankar temple

Good trekking shoes,
Personal basic medical kit (Containing an antiseptic, few bandages, personal medications if any, Antibiotics for stomach infection)
A haversack to put all these things
Smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited.
