Sikkim – Peaceful Himalayan Escape !!!
Guarded by mount kanchenjunga, Sikkim is one of the most beautiful north – eastern states in India. It is a landlocked state surrounded almost entirely by land. Sikkim is bordered by Nepal, China, Bhutan and West Bengal. It is also the least populous state in the country, with most of its inhabitants being Nepali. Despite being the second smallest state, it boasts of being one of the most geographically diverse regions in the country. About 40% of the total area of Sikkim are covered with forests, And show fed lakes making it the best getaway for nature lovers.

Itinerary
Day 1:- Bagdogra – Gangtok Drive (~ 130 km / 4 hr drive)
Meet the team @ Bagdogra Airport / NJP railway station by 12:30 Hrs
Drive to Gangtok – capital of Sikkim
Check in @ Hotel & freshen up
Leisure evening … roam @ MG Road
Enjoy the nightlife of this vibrant city
Overnight in Hotel @ Gangtok
Day 2:- Gangtok – Lachen (~ 110km / 4 hrs)
Lachen (~ 2750 metres ) a town with snow-capped mountains and valleys. Enjoy the scenic route as your drive past the Seven Sister Waterfalls and the gushing Teesta. Lachen means big pass.
En-route visit Chungthang (~ 1790 metres). It’s located at the confluence of the Lachen and Lachung rivers. It is believed that Guru Padmasambhava visited this place and even left his footprint on a rock that he once rested in.
Overnight @ Lachen
Day 3:- Gurudongmar lake excursion and Lachung
Early morning drive to Thangu a remote high alitutude village of Tibetian Nomad and further drive to visit the famous Gurudongmar lake which is known for its healing waters. This is one of the highest lakes in the world at about 5,430 metres above sea level. It was named after Guru Padmasambhava. Back to Lachen for late lunch.
Post lunch we drive to Lachung , a serene mountain village.
Lachung means small pass and the roads leading are quite difficult and rough. It is also the last town before the Indo-China Border.
Overnight halt at Lachung.
Day 4:- Yumathang valley – Zero Point visit and return to Gangtok
Early morning drive to visit the beautiful valley of flowers at Yumathang and marvel at the lush scenery that lay in front of you.
From Yumthang Valley, further an hour drive to Yume Samdong (~ 4725 meter) & considered as the end point or Zero Point. This is also the place where there’s snow almost all-year round. The views of the snow-clad mountains and grazing yaks are all worth it despite the distance you need to cover to reach Zero Point. Also visit the hot springs here, near the Sebu Chhu River.
Lunch @ Hotel in Lachung
Post lunch visit Handicraft center & Lachung Monastery.
Return to Gangtok for the evening.
Overnight @ Hotel in Gangtok
Day 5 :- Nathula Pass - Tsomgo lake – Baba Harbhanjan singh Mandir
Post Breakfast drive to Tsongmo Lake or Changu Lake about 40 kms from Gangtok. Tso means lake and mgo means head, giving it the name source of the lake.
Further drive to Nathula Pass ( ~ 4310 metres) It’s a mountain pass and the ancient Silk Road in Sikkim. Nathu means listening ears and la means pass, thus it can be translated as Listening Ears Pass. En-route visit Baba harabhajansingh Mandir
Overnight @ Gangtok

Day 6 :- Gangtok Sightseeing
Post B/f, Local sightseeing of Gangtok viz Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Tashi View point forpanoramic view of gangtok city and Himalayan peaks.
Immerse yourself in the glorious culture of Tibet at the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology ( a glance of tibetian antics)
Then proceed to visit Rumtek, Ranka, Enchey monasteries & Do Drul CHortan Stupa etc.
Evening for shopping, leisure
Overnight @ Gangtok

Day 7 :- Gangtok – Bagdogra
Post Breakfast, Drive to Bagdogra / NJP Railway station …
Drop @ Bagdogra Airport / NJP Station to catch flight / train back home
