The Sivansamudram Falls is on the Kaveri river after the river has found its way through the rocks and ravines of the deccan plateau and drops off to form waterfalls. It has an average width of 305 meters (1,001 ft), a height of 98 m (322 ft). This is a segmented waterfall with several parallel stream formed adjacent to each other.
The Gaganachukki Falls & Barachukki Falls : The waterfalls are created by river Cauvery that runs down a 75 metre gorge before it divides into two branches that flows around the island of Shivanasamudra. The two branches (eastern & western branches) flow through deep ravines on either side of the island before plunging in two different places a few kilometres apart to form the Barachukki and Gaganachukki waterfalls.
