Brief Introduction about Kavnai Fort:
Height: 2500 feet
Grade: Easy
Fort Range: Igatpuri (Western Range)
Location: Igatpuri-Nasik
Kavnai: The main entrance door of the fort still stood in good condition. Entering the main door we can see cave of the right side. We can see small pond 2wards southern side of fort. There are many dilapidated structures of mansion by the side of this pond. A bastion at western end of the fort. A cistern is located near bastion.
Journey Details:
Catch the fast local train For Kasara on Tuesday 29th July 2014 … Please do take return tickets
Timings are as follows:

GHATKOPAR : 07:30 Hrs

Please reach atleast 10 min. before on the desired location so that you don’t miss the train.
We will meet at Kasara station.

Camera, Cell Phone, Binoculars (Optional)
Pls avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments
Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits etc.
Good trekking shoes preferably ACTION,
Personal basic medical kit (Containing an antiseptic, few bandages, personal medications if any, Antibiotics for stomach infection)
A haversack to put all these things
