The fort of Kalavantin was used as a watch tower and is located right next to Prabhalgad fort on the old Mumbai-Pune route. The beauty of this trek is the amazing rock cut steps that zig-zag their way up the mountain to take you to the top of the fort.

06:55 Hrs: Depart from Panvel bus depo to Thakurwadi by ST / tum-tum
07:45 Hrs: @ Thakurwadi base
Breakfast – tea Time

08:30 Hrs: Trek from Thakurwadi to Kalavantin
One can get a panoramic view from the top, not to mention the thrill of an exposed climb via the stairs.
REST & Lunch Time

12:30 Hrs: Descend 2 Thakurwadi
15:00 Hrs: By bus / tumtum 2 Panvel
16:30 Hrs: @ Panvel bus depo
We would be getting back to Dadar at approx 19:30 Hrs (Subjective)
