Velneshwar has one of the most secluded and pristine beaches in the entire Konkan stretch and with popular destinations like Guhagar and Ganpatipule flanking it on either sides Velneshwar is soon going to capture the imagination of beach lovers in Maharashtra.
Velneshwar hasnt been been spoken about much apart from the Velneshwar Shiva Temple which is flocked by hundreds of devotees during the Maha – Shivratri festival. Small shrines dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Ganesha and Kala Bhairav are also present around the main sanctum in this Shiva temple

1 IMP thing :) :It is known that all Gokhale in the world originated from this place.

Hedvi : Dashabhuja Ganesh Mandir, Hedvi
This ‘Laxmi – Ganesh Temple’ is not only ancient but also rare. Carved in white stone beleived to be from the Kashmir region the idol is 3 feet high with ten hands, hence the name ‘Dashabhuja Ganapati’. A grand ceremony along with a procession of in a chariot is held between Shukla Chaturthi to Shashthi in Magh every year to celebrate the birth of the elephant god.

Susrondi Caves :

The discovery of a Late Acheulian cave occupation at Susrondi in Palshet near Guhagar, on the banks of a small perennial stream, near a waterfall, at a height of 85 m amsl and 2 km inland is the first of its kind on the more than 7500 km long coastline or on the Deccan plateau.
Guhagar Beach:
Guhagar has a very beautiful beach! well known for its long white sandy and safe beach.

Crocodile Safari: -
Govalkot – Maldoli Backwater :- Famous for Crocodile Safari (one can see the rare salt water crocodile in a natural habitat).

Govalkot :

On top of a detached hill and surrounded on nearly all sides by higher hills, is the Gowalkot Fort. This Fort is said to have, at different times, belonged to various kingdoms including the Habshi, Angre, and the Peshvas. At the top of the fort is a beautiful reservoir. Shivaji Maharaj is also believed to have used the Gowalkot Fort at various times. While the Gowalkot Fort is in a relative state of disrepair, it offers a panoramic view of Chiplun, the Western Ghats, the valley, and the Vashisti River
