1) Pondicherry – Presently known as Puducherry, one of union territory of India and popularly known as French capital of India. It was the largest French colony in India. There is a strong French influence in the city, especially in the old quarters, with Rues and Boulevards lined with Mediterranean style houses and bakeries, although the city remains very much Indian. Pondicherry was under French rule till 1954.
Pondy Sightseeing: Pondicherry Beach, Aurbindo Ashram, Rock Beach, Auroville, Pondicherry Museum, Park Monument (Aayi Mandapam), French War Memorial, Manakula Vinayagar Temple, Bharati Government Park, Pondicherry Botanical Garden etc. 2) Mahabalipuram alias Mamallapuram which is famous for its rock cut shore temples built in 8th centuries by Pallava dynasty. It lies along the Coromandel Coast of the Bay of Bengal (60 km) south of Chennai. Mahabalipuram Sightseeing: Panch Rathas, Arjun’s Penance, Shore Temple, Varaha Cave Temple, Mahishamardini Temple etc. 3) Kanchipuram - Kanchipuram, 80 km southwest of Chennai, was capital of the Pallava dynasty during the 6th – 8th centuries, when the Pallavas created the great stone monuments of Mamallapuram. It’s famous for its numerous important and vibrant temples (and their colorful festivals), some dating from Pallava, Chola or Vijayanagar times. It’s also known for its high-quality silk saris, woven on hand looms by thousands of families in the town and nearby villages. Kanchipuram Sightseeing: Kamakshi Amman Temple, Ekambareswarar Temple, Kailasanathar Temple, Karchapeshwarar Temple 4) The Gingee Fort complex is on three hillocks: Krishnagiri to the north, Rajagiri to the west and Chandrayandurg to the southeast. The first hill, where the main fort is, is called Rajagiri. The citadel is reached by traversing through seven gates. This citadel contains important buildings apart from the living quarters of the royalty, like the stables, granaries, and meeting halls for the public, temples, mosques, shrines and pavilions. The lower fort consists of Arcot Gate, Pondicherry Gate, the Prison on top of Pondicherry Gate, Royal Battery, Venkataramanaswami Temple, Pattabhi Ramaswami Temple, Sadatulla Khan’s mosque, Chettikulam and Chakrakulam tanks. The inner fort consists of Kalyana Mahal, the royal stables, the ruined royal palace, Anaikulam tank, granaries, magazine and the shrine of Venugopalaswami. There is a site museum at the entrance containing sculptures pertaining to periods and many dynasties that ruled Gingee.

Later in evening We will take stroll near sea side promenade & visit Rock Beach.
