Destinations Covered : Kedarnath – Tungnath – Rudraprayag – Badrinath – Mana – Haridwar

Introduction:
Kedarnath has been a pilgrimage centre since ancient times. It is not certain who constructed the original Kedarnath temple and when. A mythological account ascribes the temple’s construction to the legendary Pandava brothers mentioned in the Mahabharata. However, the Mahabharata does not mention any place called Kedarnath. One of the earliest references to Kedarnath occurs in the Skanda Purana (c. 7th-8th century), which names Kedara (Kedarnath) as the place where Shiva released the holy waters of Ganga from his matted hair, resulting in the formation of the Ganges river.

Day 01 : Arrival at Haridwar railway station/ Airport

• 14:00 Hrs: Meeting point at Haridwar
• 15:30 Hrs: Haridwar Sightseeing
• Night Stay at Haridwar (Charges to be borne by participants)

Day 02: Haridwar to Guptakashi / Sonprayag (230 km ~ 7 Hrs)

• 05:00 Hrs: Wake up call and get ready for Guptakashi / Sitapur / Sonprayag
• 07:00 Hrs: Breakfast and start our journey
En-route visit Deprayag: Alaknanda – Bhagirathi Sangam
• 20:00 Hrs: @ Check in Hotel & Dinner time

Day 03: Gaurikund to Kedarnath Temple (21km)

• Wake up to beautiful mountain view and sip on some hot coffee or tea
• Drive to Gauri-kund … Post breakfast, its time for Kedarnath Trek
• Visit Kedarnath temple , attain evening aarti and seek blessings of Lord Shiva
• Dinner and night stay at Kedarnath (Only Dormitory / Tent Accommodation here)

Day 04: Kedarnath To Chopta (80 km ~ 2 Hrs )

• Wake up to beautiful sunrise and spiritual view of Kedarnath Temple
• Early Morning Kedarbaba Darshan – Post breakfast, its time for Kedarnath to Sonprayag by trail
• Ready for Chopta by private vehicle
• Dinner and night stay at Chopta

Day 05: Chopta to Tunganath to Joshimath (160 km ~ 5 Hrs )

• Wake up to beautiful sunrise
• Ready for Tunganath Mahadev Trail and Time permits and if interested Chandrashila Peak (~1 hr asend) ..
Evening start Road journey to Joshimath
• Dinner and Night stay at Joshimath

Day 06: Joshimath to Badrinath to Pipalkoti (150 km ~ 3 hr)

• 05:00 Hrs: Wake up call and get ready for Badrinath Temple
• 06:00 Hrs: breakfast and Visit Narsinha Temple en-route
Badrinath Temple Darshan
• Visit the last Indian village Mana
• Night Stay at Pipalkoti

Day 07: Pipalkoti to Rishikesh / Haridwar (260km ~ 7 Hrs)

• After a few farewell speeches, gossips and tons of pictures its time to return home with sweet memories
En-route visit SHaktipeeth Dhari Devi Temple time permits
Interested participants can opt for Ganga Aarti
• Dinner and Night stay at Haridwar (Charges to be borne by participants)

Day 08: Haridwar Hotel check out and return journey starts for Delhi/ Mumbai

Plz book to & fro train/flight tickets accordingly ASAP till seats available.

Day 8 : Departure from Haridwar after 8 am

We @ SHIKHAR VEDH invites you to trek DEVKUND Waterfall on All weekends

All Saturdays, Sundays

Devkund is a serene lake located at the end of Plus valley. A small lake is created due to 300 ft falling waterfall is known as Devkund. It’s one of the virgin places with crystal clear water. Located near Bhira, it is a small hike of about 2 hour. As the name suggests Devkund is a place of local villager’s faith and they regard this as an origin of Kundalika River.

The itinerary for the trek is as given below:

Day 0: Meeting point : Borivali (E) at 23:00 Hrs

Pick – up en-route Andheri, Bandra, Sion, Chembur, Vashi till panvel

23:30 Hrs : Depart from Mumbai

Day 1 :

04:00 Hrs : @ base village

Rest in the bus

Freshen up

06:00 Hrs : Breakfast-Tea

Introduction & Instruction

Start trek towards DevKund lake

09:00 Hrs : @ Devkund

1.5 hrs for exploration,

11:00 Hrs : Start return trek to Base

13:30 Hrs : @ base

Lunch Break, relaxation

15:00 Hrs : Departure to Mumbai

Visit Ballaleshwar Asthvinayak Temple @ Pali if time permits

We will reach Mumbai around 21:30 Hrs (Dat’s Subjective)

As the name is the jungle, so dense and dark that at some places the sun-rays don’t reach to ground at noon time as well and one may not find any route out of it if lost.

Jungle trek : One of the ancient sahyadri passes that joins ghat to konkan area, Andharban offers endless trudge through the thicket forest.

Trekking : we will be walking on ridge offering awesome view of the Kundalika Valley, Bhira dam and the mountain ranges of Tamhini ghat.

Waterfalls :: En-route 4-5 small waterfalls to enjoy
