As the name is the jungle, so dense and dark that at some places the sun-rays don’t reach to ground at noon time as well and one may not find any route out of it if lost.

Jungle trek : One of the ancient sahyadri passes that joins ghat to konkan area, Andharban offers endless trudge through the thicket forest.

Trekking : we will be walking on ridge offering awesome view of the Kundalika Valley, Bhira dam and the mountain ranges of Tamhini ghat.

Waterfalls :: En-route 4-5 small waterfalls to enjoy

Day 0:

Meeting point : Borivali National Park, Borivali (east) at 22:30 Hrs

Pick – up en-route till panvel

Day 1:

05:00 Hrs : Base village

Breakfast-Tea time

Introduction & Instruction

07:00 Hrs : Start trek towards Andharban

11:00 Hrs : @ Hirdi Plateau

11:30 Hrs :Trek towards Bhira Dam / Return 2 Pimpri village

14:30 Hrs : @ Bhira Dam / @ Pimpri – Lunch time

16:00 Hrs : Departure to Mumbai

Evening refreshments @ Pali … Visit Ballaleshwar Asthvinayak Temple if time permits & Temple open

We will reach Mumbai around 22:30 Hrs (Dat’s Subjective)

The Contribution for the trip is Rs 1650/- per head.

After successful treks in last months to keep momentum going … We @ शिखर वेध have planned yet another trek to Bhimashankar – A Thrilling trek …

Brief Introduction about Bhimashankar:-

Height: 3296 feet
Grade: Thrilling
Time: ~ Maximum 4 hrs from Khandas, Base Village
Location: Nagar District

There is a beautiful temple of Lord Shiva which is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. Lord Shankara after getting angry killed Rakshas Tripurasura. The heat generated from their war caused the origin of river Bhima. That is why it is called Bhimashankar. A rare animal “Shekru” can be found in deep wood. Other details @ Bhimashankar temple

1) SL Class tickets from Pune 2 Kulem, Kulem 2 Madgaon & Madgaon to LTT for Mumbai Participants ( For Pune participants KULEM 2 Pune tkts via Goa Express)

05:30 Hrs: Trek starts towards @ Doodhsagar Waterall through Bhagwan Mahaveer Jungle Sanctuary … ( ~ 4 hours easy jungle trek crossing multiple water streams en-route)

09:30 Hrs: @ Dudhsagar Base –

Fun time – REST – Breakfast Time (Parcelled one)

11:00 – 14:30 Hrs: 3.5 hrs – Jungle Trek till Kulem
