Bhutan officially the Kingdom of Bhutan(Druk Gyal Khap) is a landlocked country in South Asia. Located in the Eastern Himalayas, it is bordered by Tibet Autonomous Region of China in the north, the Sikkim state of India and the Chumbi Valley of Tibet in the west, the Arunachal Pradesh state of India in the east, and the states of Assam and West Bengal in the south. Bhutan is geopolitically in South Asia and is the region’s second least populous nation after the Maldives. Thimphu is its capital and largest city, while Phuntsholing is its financial center.

7 Night / 8 Days Itinerary:

Day 01:  Meet @ Bagdogra by 13.30 Hrs

* We shall embark the journey to the land of Dragons –Bhutan sailing and gliding across many meadows and an array of nature’s canvas. The beautiful journey will take 4=5 hours to reach Jaigaon … Take a walk to nearby Zangtong Pelri Lakhang

*  After Reaching our Destination. Check in to Hotel.

*  Roam Around in Phuentsholing Locally.

Day 02: Move towards Thimpu

* En-route we will require to get permit for Bhutan. Keep your Passport / Voter ID ready / Few Photos Ready.

* Phuentsholing. Enjoy some cool snaps at Bhutan Gate. Roam Around in Phuentsholing Locally.

* Breakfast and move towards Thimpu through the picturesque landscape and magnifying aura, making the travel desired and easing the travel. This will take 4-5 hours to reach.

• Explore places en-route to Thimpu

*   Visit to Tashicho Dzong ( fort )

*  Check in to Hotel and Take Rest. Dinner.

Day 03: Explore Thimpu – Punakha
* Get set to take out the wandering beast and explore the mostly unexplored.

• This is the tinsel capital town of Bhutan stacked with small bubbling markets and the admired monks.

         * In the morning visit to .

         * It nests the world’s biggest Buddha statue for the eyes to enjoy and heart to pray.

• Afternoon Transfer to Punakha /wangdue via Dochu La ( 10,700ft) to view the high himalayas ranges in Bhutan region. Dochu la pass has 108 Chorten ( Stupas ) Druk Wangyal Khangzang Chorten which is believed brings multi fold merit to all sentient beings and which make the pass a must visit place

         * Check in at hotel and REST. Have Dinner and Good Night.

Day 04: Visit to Gangtey ( Phobjikha Valley )

After breakfast will start for full day trip to Gangtey (9840ft ). Gangtey is the home of Black Necked Crane which are migrated birds from Tibet in the north. It is beautiful Valley of Bhutan. You can also visit to Gangtey Gompa ( Monastery). After exploration will travel back to Punakha/wangdue.

* Overnight Stay at Punakha.

Day 05: From Punakha to Paro

*  After breakfast check out and visit to Punakha Dzong built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Nagwang Namgyal. For many years this place acted as the capital of Bhutan also known as Ancient Capital of Bhutan. Punakha is lil warmer that is why its still winter residence for Head of the Monk and King.  After which we will take a short trip to Chhimi Lakhang ( Temple ) which is knows as “Temple of Fertility” was built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley, “The Devine Mad Man”.

       * Will continue to drive toward Paro. Evening will roam around Paro market its a free time.

*  Overnight Stay at Hotel and Rest.

Day 06: Paro – TAKTSANG Monastery – Paro

* Breakfast and start our Journey.

*  Drive / Ride through a beautiful countryside and golden paddy fields. After ascending gradually making twists and turns we see small cottages before the road ends in a breathtaking pine forest.

* We start our trek for the famous Taktsang or Tigers Nest Monastery from here. It seems like it is perched on the vertical rock by magical glue. You will witness steep slopes and dusty paths in the forest as you reach closer, concluding the beautiful trek with 700 steps. The serenity and beauty of the place make one forget all the tiredness.  This will take almost 5 hours of your day.

* we will visit the stunning Kichu Lhakhang, the oldest temple in Bhutan. In the evening we enjoy our euphoric moments in the lap of Paro valley and sleep through the night.

Day 07:  Paro Sightseeing– Phuentsholing

*  Morning Breakfast and checkout. Explore Ta Dzong Rinpung Dzong and travel back to Phuentsholing

*  Overnight Stay and Dinner.

Day 08:  Phuentsholing to Bagdogra Airport</p>

* Today we bid adieu to Bhutan and proceed back to Siliguri.

We travel through the breathtaking mountains and captivating scenic beauty towards the India – Bhutan border and reach Siliguri after a lifelong memorable ride.

Introduction:
Kedarnath has been a pilgrimage centre since ancient times. It is not certain who constructed the original Kedarnath temple and when. A mythological account ascribes the temple’s construction to the legendary Pandava brothers mentioned in the Mahabharata. However, the Mahabharata does not mention any place called Kedarnath. One of the earliest references to Kedarnath occurs in the Skanda Purana (c. 7th-8th century), which names Kedara (Kedarnath) as the place where Shiva released the holy waters of Ganga from his matted hair, resulting in the formation of the Ganges river.

Day 03: Gaurikund to Kedarnath Temple (21km)

• Wake up to beautiful mountain view and sip on some hot coffee or tea
• Drive to Gauri-kund … Post breakfast, its time for Kedarnath Trek
• Visit Kedarnath temple , attain evening aarti and seek blessings of Lord Shiva
• Dinner and night stay at Kedarnath (Only Dormitory / Tent Accommodation here)

Day 04: Kedarnath To Chopta (80 km ~ 2 Hrs )

• Wake up to beautiful sunrise and spiritual view of Kedarnath Temple
• Early Morning Kedarbaba Darshan – Post breakfast, its time for Kedarnath to Sonprayag by trail
• Ready for Chopta by private vehicle
• Dinner and night stay at Chopta

Day 05: Chopta to Tunganath to Joshimath (160 km ~ 5 Hrs )

• Wake up to beautiful sunrise
• Ready for Tunganath Mahadev Trail and Time permits and if interested Chandrashila Peak (~1 hr asend) ..
Evening start Road journey to Joshimath
• Dinner and Night stay at Joshimath

Day 06: Joshimath to Badrinath to Pipalkoti (150 km ~ 3 hr)

• 05:00 Hrs: Wake up call and get ready for Badrinath Temple
• 06:00 Hrs: breakfast and Visit Narsinha Temple en-route

• Visit the last Indian village Mana

Day 07: Pipalkoti to Rishikesh / Haridwar (260km ~ 7 Hrs)

• After a few farewell speeches, gossips and tons of pictures its time to return home with sweet memories

Bhairavgad (Shirpunje): 1145 mtrs.This fort is believe to be ancient and almost 2500 years old. This fort has only few ruins and remains on the top. There are two big caves on the top in which one cave is a shrine of Lord Bhairavnath and another cave is used for residence purpose. There are many water tanks on the top. The idol in the cave is very good carved painted and is well maintained by the villagers.

Ghanchhakar : Ghanchakkar 1,532 metres (5,026 ft) is the third highest peak in the Maharashtra State under Sahyadri mountain ranges in western India. Its neighbouring peak Muda 1,520 metres (4,990 ft) is the fourth highest peak in the Maharashtra State under Sahyadris.

Spiti’ Means a middle land i.e. Land between Ladakh & Tibet . A beautiful trip through the high mountains and deep valleys of Kinnaur (Sangla and Kalpa) to Spiti and ending back in Manali crossing the high pass of Rohtang and Kunzum. This trip is only possible from July onwards when the road between Kunzum and Rohtang opens.

Reach Narkhanda in the evening

Move towards Sangla

Sangla- Chitkul- Kalpa (100 kms/ 4 hrs)

Visit Kamru Fort in Sangla

Post B/F, head to explore Chitkul- last inhabited village on Indo-Tibet border.

After visting Sangla & Chitkul, further drive to Kalpa a beautiful place

Day 4 : Tuesday

Kalpa- Pooh- Khab- Nako- Sumdo- Tabo (170 kms / 9-10 hours)

Post B/f, move towards Nako, a famous for lake & Monastery

further drive to spiti valley – first village sumdo & then to Tabo

Day 5 : Wednesday

Tabo- Dhankar- Kungri – Pin Valley (70 kms / 4 hours)

• “Ajanta of Himalayas”- The Tabo Monastery which is close to 1000 years old now.
• Dhankar Monastery- Seat of the King in ancient times- the most beautiful setting of a monument which hangs on a cliff and overlooks the confluence of Spiti and Pin River.
• Kungri monastery – the last hold of Buchen Lamas in Sangam.
  

Overnight @ Pin Valley

Day 6 : Thursday

Pin Valley- Demul - Hikkim- Komic- Langza- Kaza   (80 kms / 4 hours)

• Langza – the main area for Fossils.
• Hikkim – the highest post office in the world.
• Komik – one of the highest villages in the world at 4600 meters

Day 7 : Friday

Kaza- Kye- Khibber- Kunzum Pass – Chandratal Lake  (100 kms / 4 hours)

• Kye monastery – is on top of a mountain overlooking the Spiti valley and a huge river bed.
• Kibber Village – which was once the highest motorable village in the world.

Day 8 : Saturday

Chandratal- Batal- Chatru- Gramphoo- Rohtang- Manali (120 kms / 7 hrs)

• Chandra Tal- The lake of the moon.
• Losar – the last village of Spiti valley.
• Leave spiti valley early morning and enter to Lahual valleyReach Manali via famous Rohatang Pass

Overnight @ Manali

Day 9 : Sunday

Manali- Kullu- Mandi- Chandigarh (290 kms / 10 hours).

Leave early in the morning to catch your evening flight/train/bus from Chandigarh back to your hometown. Trip ends here
